Heave Ho is a quirky platformer where you and up three other players have to get across levels, with some optional objectives along the way. There’s one catch though – you can only move by grabbing onto surfaces with your arms, and dragging your body forward. And you have a dedicated “fart” button. The game is hilarious fun, especially as you are trying to grab your friends to get across – sometimes helping each other, sometimes one upping them. It’s easily one of the most fun I have had playing a game with friends, and the levels are designed deviously to encourage all kinds of goofiness. The art style is also good, with vibrant colors, tons of splashing blood, and fun customization for your characters. Overall, a great co-op game to play with friends.
Pros:
Hilarious fun Looks good Good level design Easy to pick up and play
Cons:
Controller required for local co-op
Score – 9/10
About:
Heave Ho tasks up to four players with a simple goal – don’t fall to your death! Players will use their own two hands and the outstretched grip of their friends to grapple across each level on their way to victory. Grab one another’s hands, climb across dangling bodies, and swing your pals to safety in a wobbly, dangly mass of limbs. Customize your character with all manner of stylish accessories and zany accouterment in a vain attempt to remember who you are and which of your hands is the only thing between you and the plummet of doom.
